Hi everyone,

I am writing part 1 in a month and still not finished with ASDA released exams!! Can anyone who has done both ASDA released and Kaplan Qbank, tell me if I should focus on finishing released Qs & reviewing them, or just finishing released & then working on Kaplan Q bank till the exam day?

I am not sure which would be more beneficial, so appreicate any tips from you who succeeded.

Thanks!!

well, that is for sure!! but I guess I should be done with learning from books by now!!!!!! and really need too add more practice exams to my schedule!!!!
All I was asking was, considering my limited time, is it more beneficial to go over released exams again (I've already done it once), or start with Kaplan Q bank???
Appreciate help from someone who really knows the answer. Thanks a lot!!!

Hi,

I think both papers and kaplan q bank are important. Because, you will get some direct q from the released papers or related topics. For kaplan q bank, i think it is very beneficial for phsio, DA, micro and patho. As it help you to clear the concepts why this choice is wrong and this is right plus it gives you lots of practice and helps increasing your stamina for reading for MCQ's.

If you haven't finished the released exams yet, and you still have time, by all means finish.

A month is a long amount of time. You could probably re-review the information from the books and go over the exams q's a second time.

Yes, I will finish the released exams for sure, but not sure to spend the rest of time reviewing the exams for the 2nd time or using the time for Kaplan Q bank...can anyone give me some good tips regarding this???

I never did Kaplan, but I did released exams 2. Once before I start preparing and I have like in the 60% and a second time a month after and i found I improved to around 75-80%.
Today i can say the result doesn't depent on your 2-3 months studying before the exam, it depends much more on your basic knowledge from the dental school - at least for me it was like this. Hope this helps somehow.
Maybe also depend what score you are looking for ?

I found the Kaplan Q bank useful for Dental Anatomy only- the other sections were way more detailed and difficult than the actual exam, but dental anatomy helped go over topics that were on the test- spend your time on that!
