I'm not sure if there are only threads on this already, but I was wondering if the Kaplan Review Books for Home Study was a good source for reviewing for the Boards in comparison to other review books (BRS, high yield, etc.)?? Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. Debating whether to use all Kaplan or combination of books. Saving money is not really an issue for me with regards to Step 1.

the lecture notes (7 book series) were pretty good I would say. the home study series is pretty detailed and if you have time (i.e. taking exam in june) then I would do them. People have done good on step 1 with either of the two. Just pick one source and read it well and read other sources if you are consistently doing poorly in one area or dont understand the material presented.

I asked you this same question in the Step 1 experiences thread and just found the answer here so disregard my question in that thread. Thanks!

Which is better, the 7 series book (lecture notes-blue and white) or the 4 books (review books0- black)?
