Kaplan Step 1 Course

I'm starting to prepare to study for the step and want to know if studying from the Kaplan Videos+Lecture notes is a worthy approach to the step. No other books involved besides the First Aid and questions from USMLE World. Is this any good?

Doing Kaplan from scratch is only going to pay dividends if you have a lot of time (6 months to 1 year)

If you are a rising 2nd year student, then this is perfect.

In the event you do have that much time, purchase another questionbank.

World is nice for honing your thought process, reasoning, and analytical skills, but it is hardly an exhaustive test of your Step 1 knowledge base.

(You will come to see that World is nothing more than a compilation of word games and logical traps... that being said, those aspects are what make World the Gold standard)

I have two months to study, I've watched throughout the year the kaplan videos before my tests (pathology mostly, sometimes pharm and sometimes micro). Watching around 7 hrs a day of videos adds up to like 28 days. I just want to be sure that I can get a good score by just watching the videos along with the lecture notes+FA+World Questions.

I have other materials but I really enjoy watching the videos and I don't get bored watching them as opposed to books.

Just be sure to learn actively while watching the videos.

I found it very easy to doze off while listening to them...

How about ditching the videos, using Goljan RR, FA, USMLE Secrets and the World Qbank along with Kaplan Qbank?
