** Kaplan test VS. Real test

OK...I have my DAT in two weeks - and I am desperately searching for someone to either confirm or deny my fears concerning kaplan DAT practice tests.

Did anyone else find the kaplan chemistry to be ridiculously hard on the computerized practice tests? My gen chem will not exceed 15 no matter what i do!!!

On the practice exam I got a 17 on the gen chem, but since then I have been consistently at 15!!! AAAAHHHH!!!!

someone please tell me that gen chem on the "real" DAT is doable!!!

The night before my DAT I took Kaplan Practice Test 3, and I got these scores;


BIO/21
GC/14
OC/15

PAT/20
RC/19
QR/17

TS/17
AA/17

I did a lot better on the real thing. Just know the material.

As far as the sciences go, and RC you will be fine with Kaplan, but def. use another source for the PAT!!! i highly recommend it. Good luck!

I think that dat destroyer is a really good resource...I scored a 20 on bio thanks to that thing. If I would have relied on Kaplan would have gotten waay below that. Kaplan bio is easier than the real thing I think...and not very thorough for those with not much background in it.

Only section I thought Kaplan wasn't up to par on was QR..I did 1 pt worse...every other section up at least 1pt.

Just got done taking the DAT yesterday and got just about what I got on Kaplan. The PAT should buy CRACK DAT PAT software because Kaplans is just not as hard as the real thing. Gen chem was easier on the real thing than Kaplans...but if you know the Kaplan gen chem notes you will fine. Ochem, reading, and quant are all similar to Kaplan. Biology is a hard one just because there so much material but I did fine with just Kaplan.

So get CDP software and do all the Kaplan work and you'll be good to go.
