KCOM Admission Requirements

Hi, I'm a new member and would like to wish everyone good luck this admission season. I have a question regarding KCOM's requirement that I found on their website:

( Applicants seeking admission with the intention of not having a degree prior to matriculation are required to have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average overall, a 3.5 science grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, and a composite MCAT score of at least a 28.)

First of all, I'm not correct that this is only applicable to students without at least a BS/BA before matriculation?

Second, are those the average (or minimum?) GPA and MCAT score of students accepted to their program?

Yes, I believe that requirement is only applicable to students that will not have a BS or BA before matriculating to medical school.

According to KCOM's website, their 2004 entering class had an avg GPA of 3.48 and an average MCAT score of 8. The requirements you listed are the minimum for those without a degree and there is strong preference for applicants with a degree. Hope that helps.
