Sorry if this has been talked about to death, if so please direct me to the information.
I have been offered an interview at Kirksville for a "possible" slot this year (basically their wait-list), or a spot in next year's matriculating class. I will not be waiting a year, so that's out. I'm wondering if it's worth buying a flight to go out to KCOM for a chance to get in, when I have a bird in hand at Western.
Those of you who have interviewed at both places - I would really value your impressions.
Those of you that interviewed at both places and now attend one of them - your input would be most appreciated and valuable.
Thank you.

You have to see if for yourself. I loved KCOM when I interviewed there! But it is not for everyone. It is very RURAL. I repeat RURAL. If that's not cool with you, think HARD about it! Find out if it is a place you could see yourself going. If so, then go to the interview! Everyone there is incredibly nice and encouraging. I have absolutely no doubts that you would get an amazing education there. One thing I liked about it was that there is a hospital on campus, giving you the opportunity for ward-based exposure in yrs 1-2, not JUST preceptorships like some other osteopathic schools. Also keep in mind that you will more than likely spend yrs 3-4 in neighboring areas of MO or another part of the country for clinical training.
