My 2 cents...... I say go with the school that you really feel sets you up for the physician you want to be. In the end I'm pretty sure where you went to school will not matter nearly as much the field YOU want to be in! As a student on a waiting list I also would appreciate a decision from you as well...... Good luck!Hi everyone. I have been fortunate enough to receive an acceptance from these four schools. Its getting late in the process and I really need to make a decision. What is the general consensus of these four schools around here? Here ae some of my thoughts.
KCOM:
Great school, but very far away from home and in the middle of nowhere. With that said, I don't think the location would bother me too much. I think I would be extremely happy here and feel really good about my chances to match into a very good residency in the future.
TouroNV:
Great location (VEGAS!), but I wasn't that impressed during my tour of the school. Plus my interviewer was a real A hole, but I got it so that must have just been a façade.
WCU-COM:
Virtually brand new, but reasonably close to home for me which is a massive plus. I thought the faculty and facilities were amazing, but the whole brand new thing scares me. Even though I'm not completely sure of what kind of speciality I would like to go into, I do think I'll most likely be applying for some of the more competitive specialities. Will going here hinder my ability to match into those competitive residencies?
PCOM-Georgia:
As of now this is my last choice. I'm not a big fan of the location (I really dislike the east in general) and I just didn't get a good vibe when I was there.
Those are my opinions of these schools and would really like to know what everyone else thinks. If I had to choose a school right now, I think I would pick KCOM, but I'm just so undecided. WCU-COM really intrigues me as does Touro-NV (but mainly bc of location lol). I really want to make my decision ASAP so I can give others my spots.

Logically wouldn't the school that has the best rotations , connections, board pass rates be the school which best prepares you to be the physician you want to be? Sounds like the exact answer I gave...... Go to the school that puts you in best situation to be the doctor you want to be and yea this includes the qualities you mentioned. No matter how many times pre-meds say this... it's not going to become true. Go to the school which feels best, has the best connections and rotation, and has the best comlex/usmle prep or pass rate.

Surprised no one has said this yet
No matter the school, the board pass rates blah blah, what matters is YOUR effort. Its not like if you choose one school over the other, the school you choose is going to spoon feed you and write your board exams.
