KCU (Joplin) vs ICOM

KCU (Joplin):
Pros:
- P/F grading
- historically good program
- less severe winters
- low COL
Cons:
- almost 20hr drive from home
- smaller town

ICOM
Pros:
- can get PSEP funding
- 8ish hr drive from home
- potential for core rotation site to be in hometown
- larger town

Cons:
- letter grades
- rotation sites

I was heavily leaning towards KCU-Joplin, but I am not sure anymore. If anyone has any insight that would be great before I decide to pay my deposit. As someone living in a place with pretty insane winters I would not mind a break from them, but I also know how important support can be. Thanks in advance!

KCU is much more established, has better rotations, and isn't for-profit. That outweighs ICOM's closer (but still quite far) proximity to home IMO. What is making you rethink your initial instinct?

I am mostly rethinking because of the cost. With the PSEP funding I could save quite a bit by attending ICOM but I was still contemplating if it was worth it.
