It's my understanding that LECOM employs multiple curricula at their Erie campus. They employ PBL at their other sites. I would check on their board pass rates for their independent study program. When I heard they offered this pathway, I was more than a little concerned. Active learning for sure is the best, but I'm not sure learning it all on your own is the best way to study medicine. I would recommend KCU to answer your question, if you excel at this type of learning.. I am sure they have student who are successful, but it sure wouldn't work for me.
