I have a tech job at hopkins in the peds department. I know working at hopkins is supposed to be "prestigious" but do you think it matters to my future employers that i worked at hopkins as a tech? like will that make me a more desirable candidate for a hospital or clinical pharmacst job? I was wondering if i shold keep the job or if i should quit after awhile and maybe work in another setting like with a professor. what you guys think?

The position won't matter much on your pharmacist resume. The skills you learn there will matter especially if you are doing IV admixture and may be played up in your interview

i will die to get any hopkins job. i think they are primer hospitals who are expanding the roles of phamacists. i think you should keep it.

I think you should do it for a little while but quit and work with the professor.
Hopkins is prestigious but if you don't get anywhere then I don't think its that?s prestigious.

You might learn valuable things from a PhD vs. an assay.

Let me but it this way...if you were compared tech Hopkins vs. tech x then maybe the Hopkins would make a difference. But if you were looked at as Research Associate vs. tech Hopkins, I think the research associate would win. If you have a chance to move up and expand your experiences, I think that would make you more valuable then just being able to say "but.... I worked at Hopkins"....
