Catnapper, it's not over until the letter comes, don't give up hope just yet! 🙂

As to Jerseyiscutest... I checked and she hasn't posted since 1/8 and deleted a bunch of her posts... I wonder what happened? 🙁

It has her last activity listed as 2/4.

Kidnaped by the adcoms and forced to interview under hot interrogation lamps until she'd admit she wanted to be a vet because of All Creatures Great and Small and that she really likes to hug puppies? Just think...it could have been any one of us, instead. (I mean, I like puppies, too! And I'm pretty sure I'd crack and own up to it under interrogation.)

...You just never know when those adcoms will strike next... in class, at Starbucks, at the grocery store... watch yourselves!

😛😛

Catnapper, what makes you doubt your interview at Western? It seemed like everyone I spoke with (including myself) had a neutral feeling afterwards, like they intended to make everyone feel. I'm sure you did great.

As for Jersey...
If I remember correctly, it seemed like she kept putting her foot in her mouth and then deleting her posts whenever anyone challenged her...🙂

There is no shame in this! I wrote about how I want to be an English vet in the 1930's in one of my essays...

Yeah, like the saying goes, we won't know 'til the fat lady sings!!:scared:

I agree (hey, I just finished listening to All Things Bright and Beautiful on audio book 🙂), but I've heard many many cautionary tales against saying so in an interview situation. Didn't seem to hurt us at all, though. 🙂

Did everybody who is deferred at Ohio get that scholarship info stuff? I just saw it in my spam box and released it but it hasn't been sent to my email yet and I don't know what it says.

FYI, I got a letter (snail mail) from Colorado State on Saturday regarding the FAVCIP. It's nice that they did follow up on that (I was not accepted), but it's just kinda funny to get rejected twice.

"Sorry, but we still don't want you. Just wanted to let you know...again."

(I mock, though I actually am glad they sent out those letters. I don't like loose ends. Too untidy. 🙂)

Hmmm....apparently applying to (and being rejected from😛) CSU's vet med program got me on the mailing list of other vaguely related graduate programs. Anyone get this email?

"If you are considering continuing your education through a graduate degree, Colorado State University has an option you may want to consider. The Integrated Resource Management (IRM) program was designed for individuals interested in a career involving the management of land, animal, financial and human resources. Graduates of the program have obtained positions as wildlife managers, range conservationist, ranch managers, managers of corporate livestock production, pharmaceutical sales, managers of feed manufacturing, students of professional veterinary medicine and extension specialists.

The graduate program in Integrated Resource Management began in the fall of 2002 and has since graduated over 80 students. The program includes a multi-disciplinary curriculum which culminates in a Masters of Agriculture degree. This program integrates the disciplines of animal science, economics, marketing, land resource stewardship, wildlife management, and sociology. The curriculum has been designed to be taught from the perspective of all disciplines simultaneously.

This new program also departs from tradition in format of presentation. The courses are offered as modules. Each class is 4 – 6 hours per day, 5 days a week, for two weeks. This is actually slightly more contact time than you are accustomed to with the traditional MWF or TTH courses. After each course, there is one week allotted to allow assimilation of the material and to prepare for the next course. The modular format allows the full time student to complete all degree requirements in one calendar year.

Please feel free to browse our web page (www.wcirm.colostate.edu) for more information on the program. If you would like to ask direct questions, feel free to contact Dr. Kraig Peel ([email protected]) or Dr. Gordon Niswender ([email protected])."

VaGirl, it sound just like one of those emails I get. The ones I get are not from vet school list, they are from the list from GRE. I don't know whether it's true in your case, but I selected an option of schools sending me grad. program offers based on my GRE (it was an option after the test itself was over). I keep getting every engineering program offer under the sun. I'm starting to see it as a sign 😀 (just kidding).

I hadn't thought of that. It could be. Of course, it's the first one of those I've ever gotten and I took the GREs in 2004. 🙂 I just thought it was funny.
