I actually have some OSU info for those interested. I talked to people today and they said that the only thing different this year is the fact that they are starting about 2 weeks earlier and they plan to finish interviews the first week of February. They are interviewing reapps and OOS people first for the most part. But I guess, they did rolling admissions last year, but I know it didn't say that on our supplemental. Hope this helps.
 
Anyone heard anything from Wisconsin on the supplemental yet? I keep worrying I'm going to delete it, as the email from them saying my file is complete thus far almost got deleted. It didn't say in the address line that it was from Wisconsin and I thought it was spam from my previous university! *sigh*
 
Heh, I was paranoid and created a separate gmail account devoted to applications just for that reason. I haven't heard anything about the Wisconsin supplemental. All this waiting is killing me!
 
got a rejection letter... already!!! from VMRCVM :'(
 
I'm abroad right now, but my mother emailed me to let me know I received snail mail from Western notifying me that my apps are complete and how to log into the online tracking page.

I'm sorry, Moo1234,that was really fast. However, it's early yet, remember that. For anyone interested in Glasgow, I got my interview invite today 11/4.

Yea. Don't feel bad...it's really tough odds.

I wonder why some schools have more spaces for out of state students than others. And how each school arrives at that decision...
 
I got my Western :biglove: "BanWeb" application status letter today (or Friday, or Saturday- I quit checking the mail this week since it is always bills, bills, bills). Looks like they send it once they have processed the supplemental application. Now I can spend all my spare time checking on it and dreaming of January/February.
 
I received a rejection letter from VM today 🙁
 
WSU- Email notification that they are processing apps and need my $40.00 fee (oops almost forgot!)
CSU-Status page updated that my app is complete!!!
KSU- nothing yet
UC Davis- nothing yet

Does the CSU page literally say your app is complete or is everything just checked off?

I spoke with a very nice lady at UC Davis who told me to call back after Thanksgiving, and that she could tell me what, if anything, is missing from my application at that time. She also told me that Davis will eventually send out a notification (by email, I think) telling us what items are missing from our application packages. We then will have 10 days (business days?) to get those items to them.

My only concern with this process was that I did one of the optional essays, and they wouldn't know whether or not this was missing since they wouldn't know to expect it. So I am calling back after Thanksgiving. 🙂

I received an email today saying that my UC Davis application is complete, that interview notifications will go out starting early February, that interviews will be conducted mid-Feb through mid-March, and that decisions will be sent "no later than April 1, 2008."

I also received an email today from Penn saying they are missing a LOR from an academic source (my eLORs were from veterinarians and work sources since I've been out of school for a very long time).
 
Just got an email from Oregon State saying that I forgot to sign the supplemental (whoops) and that I had 7 days to get a signed version to them. You'd think that maybe the $50 check included (signed!) would be proof enough. ah well.

I haven't heard anything from Davis, but I'm out of state...
 
What did Penn end up saying about the missing LOR? Just curious =o).
 
They said they didn't have it and to please re-send it - no deadline or anything, but I've got to assume they want it ASAP.

It was a mad scramble today to try to make that happen, but hopefully it's on the way in the next day or two per my recommender.

me too! and i'm sitting here thinking, "are you sure?" whatever, i'll print-sign-send! and for davis.... i'll write them off until february when i get my rejection letter 😛

I hear ya! The BanWeb letter from Western nearly gave me a heart attack!! "I'm not ready yet" was exactly what I said!

Received an email from Davis today saying my application is complete (I'm OOS) and the same stuff about interviews and decisions as listed previously.🙂

September 30 (one of my LORs went down to the wire). I wouldn't worry too much if I were you - last year they didn't send out complete/incomplete emails until early December, so I was actually quite shocked to hear so early from them. They might just be trickling them out a little at a time.
 
My Ohio State status page has now changed from "Referred" to: "Decision Pending"
 
ARARAGGH! I'm excited just about getting excited. Rexo, ShelterGirl and Imagine, it's our year this year. I can feel it.

I submitted my app Aug 28th and realized 3 months has passed....only 3 more months of waiting to go! :eek Are we having fun yet?

Wait! Where's my "eek" smiley?? that was my favortie! >:/

so i called up ohio state to make sure they weren't incredibly unhappy with me and i was told that there is some problem with the update page, so if anyone else is having issues... this could be why.

Yeah for me too, it also says they are missing my transcripts which I know can't be right.

I think the "problem with the update page" is that they don't really update it often 🙂 at least that was what I was told a few weeks back.

I just found out today that apparently the interviews for WV contract students was around spring break last year, so like end of march, I think? beginning of april maybe? surely that can't be right..........soooo late.......🙁
 
University of Florida sent me a snail-mail letter stating I need to prove residency with a copy of my driver's license, car reg. and voter reg. Well I only have the driver's license so I'm not sure what else I can use. I will be calling them tomorrow to find out. Ugh, more headaches. 😡

Western University has been contacting me by e-mail, first to tell me that I need to re-take Microbiology and Biochem because my coursework was more than 8 years old (agggggghhh!!!) and then to tell me that I need to submit a letter to the admissions committee to ask for permission to take these courses past the fall due date. I've done this and now I'm waiting for "permission".... :scared:

Michigan - status page says everything is received, and they are yet to contact me with any further info. 😕

I applied to the following schools with the application status listed below:

Auburn- all received.
Cornell- tracking page up-to-date and complete although found out 2 days before the November 1 deadline that one of my recommendations was never received...got it resolved though.
The Ohio State University- I am in "evaluation status". the tracking page says my evaluation letters are missing, but I called the other day and they said that my application is complete.
UGA- all received.
UPenn- haven't heard anything yet.
U Tennessee- all received.

So now I am just waiting to hear about interviews!

I spoke with the dean of penn last month and he said we will receive a postcard in the mail that asks us what field we are interested in. I wasn't sure if everyone receives the postcard, or just those who are going to be interviewed. Anyway, I thought he said we would get that in November, but I still haven't gotten anything. He also said that they start interviewing in January. Each interview is on a Friday and then they all meet that night over dinner and discuss everyone and you hear within ten days of your interview if you're in or not. And where you interview depends on whether you're large animal or not.

For Penn - not everyone receives the postcard, but it is certainly not a guarantee of an interview. As for the selections process, everyone doesn't hear that night - it's up to the interviewer. Some call that weekend - and some never call.

i started out on status: evaluation, when i was called for my interview, my status changed to "referred"... my interview is friday and i'm freaking out. wish me luck

Was I asleep last cycle or are things moving along faster this year? I don't remember people talking much about getting interviews until Jan last year, and about a million posts about how people hadn't heard anything. I am sorry so see I am going to have to start stalking the interviews thread 2 months early this year! Heh.

Just got an email from Colorado State saying that they have all of my materials and are evaluating the applications. I'm OOS and they said they "hope to contact applicants by the end of January with the outcome of the evaluation."

... and the waiting continues. 🙂
