😀 Interview(s) to be scheduled!! I've been complete for about 2.5 weeks but it feels like years! This is my top choice so I am super excited! Congrats and :luck: to everyone else!
 
Committee meets tomorrow for the EDP people! I cant wait until friday...
 
Still on screening hold. 🙁 I'm going to send a status update this weekend and pray it helps me get an interview, but I'm not optimistic.

I know one can't go into this process expecting anything, but considering that I'm an OOS who had to write them eight essays (one explaining my ties to the state and the other that was similar to the personal statement) I'd like an interview. If it wasn't meant to be, please cut me pre-secondary.
 
I stopped by to talk to Danielle today and she mentioned that all the EDP interviews are going to be done by the 15th then it's open season for all the other applicants. She did also say that a few slots that were for EDP but are opened are being given to the regular applicants that already finished their secondaries, but I don't think you should read too much into it if you're not one of those lucky early ones. Basically, breathe easy until next Saturday then let the hyperventilation and compulsive e-mail checking begin!
 
So has no one heard about an interview yet? The official interview thread is suspiciously silent on UK. Anyone?
 
I got one today for September 29th. I was complete around the second week of August.
 
Not to be a bother, but I feel I must not be the only one who checks the "Interview thread O-Z" to see when people get interviews. Could you update it with your info since no one else has? I'll make sure to do likewise if/when I get one.....😀

That sucks! Honestly, I kind of liked having such a man-about-town as it were applying to the same school as I am.

I'm OOS and mine says "interview to be scheduled", but I think that may be because I have pretty significant ties to Kentucky. I was complete in early August too, so I'm sure your still in good shape.

Ahh I hope so. I've heard nothing but good things about the school and like their program. The problem is that I thought I had significant ties there too and I was complete late July. I guess this is how it works, though. Loooooots of waiting.
 
Status changed to "Interview(s) to be Scheduled"!!

So....we're sure that means a future interview, right?
 
mine has say interview(s) to be scheduled for over 2 weeks now... i'm IS and my app has been completed since 8/22. anyone know if they are they just processing apps in the order the received or if they are scheduling interviews by preference?

I'm in the exact same place as you, gurldoc. I've been complete since 8/22 also. I can't really give you an answer to your question, but I thought that knowing you're not alone might make you feel better. 🙂
 
Interview to be scheduled means you'll be getting one, just the scheduling is a little behind.

It changes to "interview confirmed" after you get your date FYI.
 
For those of you who've already had interviews, how long did you have to wait between "Interview(s) to be scheduled" and actually having a date and time? Mine's said that for 20 days tomorrow and I'm wondering if I should call on Wed....
 
I had to wait around a month.

They called my bro on 9/10 to see if he could come in 9/11. I don't really think there's much method to the madness...

Was he EDP? I know some people who interviewed that day and it was a scramble to get those spots filled. They didnt offer EDP invterviews past 9/15, so a buddy of mine got the call on like 9/7 before 9/11...he got in 9/20 though!

He wasn't EDP, but I'm guessing that some EDP applicant canceled last-minute and he was called to fill the spot. The 'rents live in Lex, so I guess they assumed he'd have a place to stay. He was also a re-app, so I guess they also figured he'd know what he was doing rather than spring all this on some newbie to the process. Still, I wish they'd given that spot to me...
 
This is taking a bit of time. My status has been on Interview(s) to be scheduled for about three weeks now. For those in the same situation, I called in yesterday and was told they are scheduling. Not much more than that though. Anyone else heard anything?

I think they're just really backed up. I talked to an MS IV on the admissions committee and apparently they let interviewees know they'll be getting an interview a long time before the school knows when they'll actually be able to schedule one. I actually think that's pretty cool of them, since I'd rather be waiting on the date of an interview than whether or not I've gotten one.
 
I don't understand why it takes so long to pick a date. Can't they just drop us in the slots? I know it's completely unnecessary paranoia, but I'm afraid they're going to change their mind or something. Kind of like Louisville's whole status page fiasco this weekend.

Anyone know what days the committee meets to make post-interview decisions? My interview is coming up and I'm hoping to hear back ~ Oct 15th.
 
I know the committee meets every other Thursday to make decisions and you can call first thing Friday morning to find out your fate. But I was under the impression that no regular applicant could know until Oct. 15 at the earliest. I have no idea where I got that from and I could possibly have made that up....
But the first sentence is definitely true 🙂
 
So, have any of you already interviewed but not posted in the "Interview" section of SDN. I FINALLY GOT AN INTERVIEW DATE!! and I want to make sure I am as prepared as I can possibly be. Any advice? Good luck to everyone.
 
Honestly, the best interview experience thus far. They really didn't ask me many questions but mainly focused on selling me the school.

I had a very positive experience and was greatly impressed.

Is a "Sent to Screening" status bad for an out of state student?
 
I was complet on 8/20 and my status has read "Interview(s) to be scheduled" since 9/5. Sounds like you should be hearing something in the next few days. Good Luck!!!!
 
Sounds like they are starting to open up interview spots. I also finished on 8/20 and got an invite on Friday. That waiting was killing me.
 
how long did it take for your status to change from "recommendations received" to application complete...and did they email you to let you know that you were complete? I know UK lags a little in updating status pages compared to other schools.

I don't think I got an "application complete" email, but I'm neurotic enough to check my status page 8 times a day anyway. As far as the waiting goes, my LOR's were there before my secondary so that wasn't really an issue for me. All of my waiting is outlined a few posts up.
 
i was complete 8/22 finally got an interview date 11/6... it is me or does 11/6 seem really late? i thought i had everything submitted early, but i guess not.

My interview is 11/6 also. Maybe I'll see you there. I think that it is kind of late, but their class is not usually full until late dec / early jan according to the website so I think if we do really well we could still be okay.
 
to be scheduled! YAY!!! I was complete 9/25 (or around there)...but I'm guessing not to expect a scheduled date for awhile since everyone else has had to wait so long...but this is my first interview so i'm PSYCHED!!

UK is a bit slow in scheduling interviews (I'm currently an M1 there). I remember having to wait almost a month after my last letter was submitted before hearing back (as opposed to UofL, where I heard back within a week). The class was full last year by January 1st, but I've heard that it might be a little later this year since admissions is supposedly cutting down on the number of EDP candidates admitted (apparently they had to turn down a lot of great candidates in the Spring because of the huge numbers admitted in the Fall).

Anyway, good luck with the whole process and UK is a great place to be (if for no other reason than being out of class by 11am/noon 4 days a week 🙂).
 
This thread seems to have fallen to the wayside, so I'll try to revive it!

The adcom meets tomorrow to decide on my status and I'm a little freaked out. What time should I call on Friday to find out my status? ...or should I ask in person (I work, literally, 100 yards from the admissions office)?
