You can. In addition to what Sugaree said, you would also be cleaving your entire molecule since you would have to break C-C bonds. I'm not really sure what the utility of oxidizing ketones would be unless you wanted to synthesize two different acids.

Where did you find that? Those can oxidize alcohols into ketones under some instances, but they can't oxidize a ketone into a carboxylic acid or a -COOH derivative. None of that is needed for the MCAT. Baeyer-Villiger is certainly not MCAT level organic knowledge.

You're wrong. You may not need to know that information for the MCAT, but you can most definitely oxidize ketones (given that you have a powerful oxidizing agent/H2SO4 (or just conc. HNO3) like Sugaree said) in to a mixture of carboxylic acids.
