Khans vs Chads

So im contemplating whether to buy chad's videos or using Khans free videos for gen chem. Has anyone ever had success with Khans for gen chem around here?

i havent used khans, but i purchased chads videos for dat, and goodness, ive NEVER learned so much in just over a week.

Nothing can replace Chad. I love Khan academy for math and physics, and some bio. But for Gen chem and Ochem, nothing beats Chad's videos

Good choice!!! I've recommended his videos to everybody I know studying for the DAT. If you supplement his videos with anything, then Destroyer is it, otherwise Chad is enough (well, for my test it was). You should get 20+ in those sections using and understanding those materials.

Yea man I have destroyer. Im also using a few other books for practice as well

What about freelanceteacher?

hes more of a supplementary material for classes that you take in your undergrad years. I would never use him for DAT or MCAT even though he does a well job of teaching the material.

Nothing against anyone at all, and I can appreciate budgeting, I myself, will pick up a penny on the ground if i see one, but 30/50 dollars for chads videos, 66% of the TS for the DAT is SUCH A STEAL, use them and love them my man, you wont be disappointed!😀

I just bought Chad's videos last night, Hopefully I have enough time to review most of the videos =/. I take my test at the end of May.

Couldn't agree more. Chad's videos are tailored to the DAT for GC & OC; best money ever spent.

Hey guys....so it looks like I'm in the same boat in terms of deciding between Khan academy vs. Chad's videos. I plan to study general chem and organic chem from either of these sources.

1) Would you guys still recommended chad's videos for the money? So far it seems that its worth every penny but I'm not entirely convinced because Khan's videos are free and broken into short segments. Somebody pleaseeeeee let me know

2) Would you recommend biology from either Khan academy or chad? I have a fairly strong biology background I just need reinforcement.

I didn't use Chad's videos, and I only used Khan a bit for Chemistry. Based on what I've heard here, if you have the time to watch them, and the money, Chad's are a no brainer.

I don't think Chad has biology videos. Khan academy biology videos are generally pretty helpful. They can get kind of long and tedious because he repeats himself a lot, but this kind of helps you retain the information if you stay awake. I used them a pretty good bit, especially for stuff I hadn't covered in any of my classes.
