there are a million errors, and sometimes I dont trust their answer/explanations. If you wonder why, just remember that there is that errata file on sdn w/ all the FA mistakes.

anyone else use this question bank, as prep for step 1?

I haven't signed up for UW yet, (and yes, I know it's great, and I also need to use NMBE for best predictive value) But I'm wondering about the prognostic value of usmlerx is.

is this even worth my time? I've gone through almost half of their 2600+ 😱 Questions and am considering just stopping.

thank you.

I think if you go to the first aid team website, there's a graph that correlates the % correct w/ step 1 scores.

It at least means you know FA well. 🙂 I would think if you're doing well, you are in a good position, but I'd still recommend adding something like USMLEWorld. One thing I can say from having access to both Kaplan's QBank and USMLERx is that Rx seems a little easier. I do maybe 10% better on average on Rx than Kaplan.

I did about 80% of USMLErx and thought that it was the least helpful of the other question banks I tried- USMLEworld, Kaplan. Having said that though (and it may just be pure coincidence), it predicted my score to within 2 points- far more accurately than NBMEs and the other question banks. And I found it a good way to boost self confidence after getting pumelled in the other question banks.

predicted your score using their website?

the one that has you punch in number of Q's performed, and % correct?

Yup, I used the formula found on the first aid website
USMLERx(%)*2.64 + 47 = USMLE 3-digit score (+/- 20 for the 95% CI)
