but I still wasn't sure. if you book a flight to fly out to an interview and your flight gets heavily delayed, cancelled, just major travel problems occur and you miss your interview time/window, what happens then? will the school be kind enough to reschedule the interview? I mean even if you fly out to try to reach a day before your interview and flight problems occur wher they are heavily delayed for 6 hours (it's happened with me before) or canceled flights, will the school try to accomodate those problems and reschedule an interview??

if some catastrophe occurs like that and its really out of your control, i've seen schools be accodomating. like my friends interviewing at the PA schools had dates in january pushed back a few days due to being snowed in/out of the airports there.

just in case you're thinking otherwise, I'd suggest you all to schedule flights/trains/buses the night before the interview if you're coming from out of town, and not the morning of unless some pressing reasons forces you too. i remember some guy being late at my GW interview due to the train from philly was held up, cant imagine that looks good. not only does spending the night make traveling easier, but you could get to meet students before the interview day and get a feel for the school if you stay on/near campus 🙂
