I know there's not much of a difference but here's my situation:

I'm an econ major which means I have to take econometrics by the end of my junior year. Unfortunately, I can't take it UNTIL my junior year because of prereqs (completing now as a sophomore). And even more unfortunate is that both econometrics and biochemistry are at the same time! Obviously, I have to take econometrics without question because that is my major and I refuse to major in something else. So my question is: which would be better, to take it as a senior or during the summer between my soph and junior year? I'm applying to some schools that require it as a prerequisite, and many that "recommend" it. I'm aware that even if it's required, they only require that I take it by the time of matriculation, BUT I also know from doing some research on this matter that they would prefer me to have the grade in by the time I apply.

If I take it over the summer, I think I'd either take it at Duke or UCLA since they're both close to one of my parents.
