If you have your file complete (including everything and secondaries and LORs) would it be advisable to write a letter or send an email to the school, if you haven't received an interview or heard back and its been like 2-4 weeks since they received your secondaries. This is the case for me for 2 schools so far, and I'm wondering if I should contact them. Or do most people wait to suck up like this until after they've interviewd?

2-4 weeks isn't long enough to start bugging them. Give it at least two months!

Admissions office is probably swamped right now.

It's Sept. 1st and some schools don't even review things til this month so I'd wait.

I would definitely give it 2 months...many schools wait to make their decisions, and I know some schools that go for their high priority applicants in the August-September window, and then work their way through the other applicants later in the season...

If you have mitigating circumstances that require an interview early in the season, then you MIGHT consider an email -- but remember that ALL CORRESPONDANCE WITH THE SCHOOL GOES IN YOUR APPLICATION FILE!
