Some of the schools I'm applying to request a personal statement and ask seperate questions like " What have you done to prepare for pharmacy" or "what are some obstacles that you would like to address". I'm wondering, is it "ok" to cut and paste parts of my personal statement and add little tid bits as an answer? I made my personal statement and revised it so many times, it's practically perfect. Any deviation from that would lessen the quality of my answers to the questions.

Thanks

if the school will see the personal statement AND the short answers, definitely do NOT copy and paste. they WILL notice. they will be reading everything of yours in one go. there are so many aspects of a person, so many situations and stories... there is more to your development than just what is in your PS. if you really want to just keep what was in your PS, though, then expand more upon it. they are trying to know your character better, and if you repeat what you said before, there is less to know about you. i would highly recommend something different for the short answers, but if you must comment on the time you volunteered in the hospital again, then don't mention what you did, like you probably did in the PS, but rather the situations you went through while volunteering that motivated you to be a pharmacist.

Copypasting is a no-no. What it would tell me if I were reviewing such an application is that the person is lazy and tries to get by with a minimum effort, and does not actually read the questions. Not someone I would like taking care of my mother's medication, for example. It is perfectly OK to recycle the ideas from your personal statement, paraphrase them and expand on them.
