Hi all, just wondering if any of you guys know if the Martin Luther King / Drew downsizing will affect other programs in the So. Cal region, and if you are already seeing any affects. My understanding is that a lot of the cases have been/will be going to Harbor-UCLA. I have a vested interest as I will be starting at Harbor in 2007. I was under the impression that Harbor was already running at full capacity. So does this mean more add-on cases, etc? Any Los Angeles area residents out there can weigh it that would be great... Thanks!

this has already been happening. the trauma unit has already been closed at MLK so the influx of patients into harbor-ucla and USC is probably what you saw during the interview season last year.
