No, I'm saying I don't see a reason for a wolf to soft counter here to take down Dina, since that'll just take them down tomorrow. Even if it is the doctor, which TBH isn't that strong a role (I know, I've been one... badly).
"We're not so different, you and I" Kirby thought to himself as he looked at the picture of Jigglypuff. Both smol, globoid, pink creatures with large eyes and big personalities. What wasn't to love? His transformation to Jigglypuff was barely noticeable compared to some of the other Kirbies out there; 2 perked ears and a curled forelock were the only difference.
Jigglypuff wasn't the only Pokemon that Kirby had mimicked before. He still had a bucket list item of swallowing a Sylveon; that was his favorite, and if only he could find one, he knew that would be perfect for him. For now, the Sylveon Kirby remained his white whale, forever chased, never found.
In copying Jigglypuff, he gained the Pokemon's impressive singing talents, crooning a mesmerizing lullaby at night to lull others to sleep. The vocal range of the Pokemon was remarkable, exceeding 12 octaves - something thought only possible for another Kirby among the group. Although, now that the other Kirbies thought about it, this particular one had previously shattered the speakers and microphones on Discord with a shriek pitched so high, windows in a 24-mile radius seemingly inexplicably disintegrated. It was yet another example of the perils of ranch consumption. It made sense, though. One person couldn't hog all the octaves, right?
His singing talents were in high demand and he found himself busy during the days, spending his time securing gigs for future nights; making and sticking to a busy schedule was no small feat, though he himself was small. He'd felt some heat, but it seemed to dissipate, much like the money he was supposed to be making for all his hard work. He pushed his hair out of his eyes, making sure he could clearly see one of the other Kirbies who frightened him. That one could be unpredictable. It was very difficult to tell what he was thinking, and sometimes he didn't do things like a normal person. You had to watch out for those exercise fiends. Never knew what was brewing behind their beady eyes.
Suddenly, the one he feared turned and pointed at him. "I'm not the one you want!" Jigglypuff Kirby cried. "I'm here to protect you!"
"Well, that's a lie if I ever heard one," one of the Kirbies said calmly.
"Yeah, I'm the doctor."
"No, I'm the doctor."
"Joke's on all of you, I'm actually the doctor."
One Kirby astutely pointed out that another of the mafia that wears pink on Wednesdays and every other day actually was a 2x doctor. The frenzy paused while everyone considered the truth in that statement. It was a good one.
Jigglypuff Kirby tried to slink away, but it was too late. The hammer was already coming down onto his cranium. There would be no more lullabies sung at night.
"Cattos pls," came the demand from somewhere far, far away.
Cat Kirby stretched languidly. He'd been enjoying the sunshine and warm spring weather. It gave him a chance to get outside with a puppy who has no name, smell the fresh air, and commune with nature.
Normally, cats like to hunt birds, but Cat Kirby always had a way with them. Pigeons, in particular, fluttered down to land next to him, cooing softly. Not everyone appreciated the beauty of the humble pigeon. Sure, it was a prolific bird, found everywhere in cities worldwide, but the iridescence of their feathers? Their wicked intelligence that they hid under a deceptively birdbrained attitude? Their loyalty to those who cared for them? Cat Kirby understood them. And they knew he was a friend.
Cat Kirby was a friend to more than just the birds, this game. He knew his way around a hospital and easing people through procedures pain-free and safe on the other side. He hoped to bring that expertise to this latest arena, keeping those who needed protection safe. Though he'd been dubious at the beginning, he quickly identified those he could trust, even sending a kiss to one after the first mafia fell.
The kiss was accepted, albeit with a slightly panicked and very confused look.
Revealing himself as the doctor was not what he planned, nor what he wanted. But he had no choice. Someone who would be a doctor soon - in only just over a month! - had claimed his medical authority, and he knew that couldn't stand. It wasn't safe. And while he knew it was suicide to out himself, he felt his life was worth it if it put another mafia member away.
They came for him that night, as he knew they would. He'd done well. It was expected.
The delighted shrieks of "OHO OHO OHO" at Cat Kirby existing greeted him as he ascended.
Initial thoughts before I rummage around in the posts again:
DrWilgy and Boquise are harder cleared than before. Dina tried to capitalize on their “weirdness”, both of them as newcomers here, and it didn’t work.
I’ve felt that Dina was broadly compatible with a lot of people just given how low-key she played, but that might not be the case. I’ll determine more later today, but when I was looking through her reads list the standout in my POE was moonster.
fwiw, I was the hammer for Dina. There was still enough time to switch the train to another player before vote close (although mighty did also vote Dina a few mins after me). You’re wasting your time looking at me.
Why POE build? Isn’t this the opposite of your strategy to this point? (I mean I suppose town building and POE building are two sides of the same coin, but the emphasis feels different.)

lol so wait does it still count cuz I forgot to hit refresh on the thread and **** happened that I hadn’t seen before I made that choice

2. mightyrunner7 - null - idk I feel like his only contribution this game has been pushing JJJ. I was confused about why he was being so widely village read last cycle, but I guess it was partially a change in tone from last game? I did vibe with some of the reads list he posted today so there's that
3. NateTheLesser - Leaning village d/t dubz snap voting him, like his analysis today even if I don't completely agree with the mayo push I can follow the logic he's presenting
4. JaggedJimmyJay - Leaning wolf, but confused, interactions with dubz lean wolf, but I'm getting caught up on the PSV kill, just seems like a weird choice if JJJ is a wolf when PSV was so heavily village reading him
8. Boquise - neutral, kinda already talked about it, I think the early dubz vote gives him village points, I don't like how hard he's pressing me about saying I didn't understand him flip flopping
12. moonstermash - null to wolf leaning , I don't really have a reason to go either way, the mothy vote yesterday to make a tie pinged me, weird switching on JJJ read also pinged me, need to go back and read her posts
IMO it's the right day for the remaining PRs to claim, but I think it should wait until everyone's POEs are on the table and we have time to hash out who ppl's top priorities are and why.
My bottom 5 is basically the same as it was minus pulling out Wilgy (and, uh, mayo). Just left with mothy/moonster/JJJ/genny/mighty. Not in any sort of order at this point.
