I'm asking for a friend of mine, who is most likely going to need knee surgery soon. How bad would it be if she showed up to interviews with a full knee brace and crutches? I can't imagine ADCOM's looking down on this, since it's not exactly her fault, but the only thing would be getting around during the tour. I think it might make for a good story when you interview, but that's just my personality. Any opinions?

If she needs the surgery, do it. Call the adcoms and ask if it would be an issue to be on crutches. I can't imagine it would be a problem.

It should be fine. As long as she has someone to drop her off at the buildings, and either not go on the tours or go very slowly.

It might be more convenient to reschedule to avoid any unnecessary problems, but make sure it is explained when making interviews.
