Hi all,
I start at Temple this fall but I've been working in a lab as a med tech the past 2 years. I'm board certified and have to keep up on CEs every 3 years. Based on experiences in groups/private practice I was wondering if any of you docs/residents have techs do lab work in-house, or if it would be of value for me to keep my certification? In terms of being in a practice, it would allow me to basically buy/run instruments for various lab tests and validate everything in-house myself if I know what I'm doing (which I am getting pretty comfortable with).
Just curious if anyone has insight on this matter and if it's worth keeping the experience/knowledge in my head and continuing to renew my certification or not.
Thanks
