Hey all,

How important are lab grades in terms of med school applications? I understand their impact on GPA (only being 1 credit a piece at my university), but do schools value an applicant's performance in lab as much as they do in the actual courses themselves?

For example, I am getting an A in O Chem II at the moment, but I am around a C for the lab (both are listed separately on my transcript. Three credits for the lecture, 1 credit for the lab). Is this a problem?

Thanks!

They're as important as any other classes. I remember labs being worth about 50% more credits than a normal class, though (4 quarter credits for a normal class, 6 quarter credits for a lab).

They tend to involve a lot more work writing those ****ty lab reports too.
