Anyone thought of adding or have added this to their practice? My town is ripe with business for this service and I've heard where it can be quite lucrative, but equipment costs are high. Thoughts?

High quality Picosure laser tattoo removal device costs around 250 to 280 K. That's a nice home in some places.

How do you know your town is "ripe" for business???

I could tell you my "secret" but what fun would that be. Thanks for the information and added editorial.

There are companies that will lease you a laser for certain things (not sure if this is one of them). You pay a few grand for 2-3 days/month where they bring the laser to you.

Might be worth looking into since 250k is quite the price tag.

Very true. The lease for this type of laser is aroung 3 to 4 grand a month. The marketing will cost around 5 grand plus. Lots of competition.

Tattoo removal is charged by the inch. Depending on location of the country it can be from 50 to 100 dollars per inch. The average tattoo is about 4 inches. It take anywhere from 4 to 10 treatments on average to remove the tattoo and it hurts like hell. So most doctors who do this also purchase a cooling system. zimmer cooler to take away some of the pain. I think new they cost around 60K but don't quote me on that.

So yeah it can be lucrative if you are in the right market and can hold out long enough to build your clients.

That's why I asked him why he felt it was a good town for tattoo removal.

You're welcome. There are no secrets my friend. Just good business. Don't lose your shirt. Do your homework. Those laser salesman can sell water to a drowning man.
