So, to make it brief when I was going to calculate my last 45 GPA I ran across a little hitch, I can either leave out a class from a few semesters ago and get 44 credits or add in a class but that will total 47 credits.

Can I remove a more recent class from the 45 credit calculation to make it 45 credits even?

I was doing the calculation by working backwards- most recent semester to least. Least recent is where I am having the issues as I do not have a 2 credit hour class I can leave out there.

Any advice?

It's all courses through the semester containing the 45th credit, if that makes sense. So if you took 17 exactly credits per semester, you would count up to the 51st credit. You can't omit classes to make it 45 credits even.

Except for Kansas! Kansas will let you take the best grades from that semester to get 45. All other school require the whole semester, I believe.

So with Kansas can you remove a more recent 2credit class to make room for a later 3credit class to make it an even 45?

Well you can't remove a more recent class...you go back 45 hours, and if it falls into a semester where you will go over 45 hours, you can take the best grades from that semester. Which can be pretty helpful. That's the only school that will do that though I think.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of calculating a "last-45 credits" GPA?

I'm confused - does Kansas make you calculate the GPA yourself? And they just trust people on the number and don't fact-check it?

They ask for it on their supplemental...I'm sure they must check it themselves though.

OMG are you sure that K State will let you count the best classes from the semester in which you would have had your 45th credit (if it is over 45 credits) so that it will come out to be an even 45? If so I almost made a HUGE mistake.

Thats what I was trying to figure out. The semester where I would have to cut a course, 1) that semester I got all A's and 2) I either cut a course and have 44 credits or keep all of them and have 47 credits. I figured to just keep all of them and have 47 credits right?

This may be a dumb question, but I have several transcripts. I got a degree from my primary university, then I took a few single class prereqs at a couple schools later. So, I start with the most recent classes I have taken, even though I was part time and at a couple schools, then I move to my primary institution and keep counting 'til I reach 45?
