If I want to submit my application on June 1st, when is the last day possible for me to take DAT? In other word, how long does it take for AADSAS to receive my test score?

You can submit your aadsas application before taking the DAT. Do not wait to submit your aadsas until June just because you are taking the DAT then.

many schools encourage applicants to submit aadsas applications before taking the DAT. I have heard of numerous people submitting early and then taking the DAT months later and still getting interviews and acceptance letters. Submit as early as possible ... then submit DAT score after you take them.

Like bodiddely said you can submit your application (and should) before you take the DAT. After you take it it usually takes a couple of weeks for them to send your scores to AADSAS and the schools you are applying to (I believe they say it may take up to six weeks, but I could be wrong on this). Playing it safe would be submitting your application by June and taking the DAT by July, but plenty of people do it later than this and still get in.

Oh. So it will take about 6 weeks for schools to receive my score? Damn. I guess I have to take it earlier than I initially planned.

I thought AADSAS send out applications to schools starting June 1st. Are you guys telling me that I can submit even before then?

Well you can definitely use the aadsas website and fill out all of the information before then (I think May 15th or something like that was when you could start filling everything out this last cycle). I don't remember if you could submit before june 1st or not though

I'm pretty sure you can submit the application as soon as it's available to be filled out. I submitted mine on May 18th last year. By the time AADSAS gets your transcripts though, and then verifies the grades, it will be at least June 1st before your stuff goes to schools. Most likely it will be several weeks later than that. Interview offers start to come out around early August (for the faster schools), so you'll want your DAT scores there before than. Otherwise they can't fully evaluate you and they may sit on your app waiting for the scores. I think it's very important to be in that first rush of invites, so get your DAT done by late June. However, if you were planning on studying all summer for it b/c you're not ready, than I'd stick with that plan. Better to have good scores than be extra early. Don't wait any longer than the end of July though. And schedule your test appointment well in advance b/c those dates can fill up.

I took my DATs at the very end of August and it was completely fine. But I'd recommend doing it earlier just to have more time to relax after them

Same here. Took my DAT late August. Make sure the application is in way before that. It is the slowest thing of all the application material.

AADSAS takes ~6 weeks average to send the app out to schools.
ADA takes ~2 weeks average to send the scores to the schools.

If you are going to submit your AADSAS app on June 1st like you say, and want everything to arrive to the schools at the same time, then take the DAT on July 1st.

June 1 + 6 weeks = July 15
July 1 + 2 weeks= July 15
