To all the multiple seat holders. These are the last couple days before you have to make a decision.
Anyone else freaking out? lol

So, how does this work exactly? I'm holding a seat at NYU and Tufts.
I know where I want to go at this point, but the secondary deposits are due on the 2nd and the 9th. I figured I would just let the due date pass by. Do I need to inform the schools in order to avoid some kind of trouble?

Honestly, if you already decided where you will be attending, I suggest you call up the other school to withdraw your seat. Its better to be safe then have to deal with the "multiple deposit" issue, plus you'll make a waitlister happy a couple days earlier.

I would withdraw before you get kicked out of the school you really wanted to attend.
That doesn't happen. They simply give you a deadline to decide by. Only after that time expired would they give your spot to someone else.

15 day window and then you get the boot
This is actually interesting. I didn't know this. Is this rule still valid? The document you attached was passed on March of 2010. At the end it said, "This policy will be evaluated every two years by the ADEA Section of Dental School Admissions Officers to assess its impact on applicants and dental schools and provide applicants a reasonable time-frame to complete their enrollment process."

Ok, based on my understanding, you get a 15 day grace period after April 1 to narrow down to only one deposit at one school; so if I'm understanding correctly, if you are still holding multiple deposits after this 15 day window, then schools will rescind your offer?
Should I withdraw today just to be safe?
I just wanted to double- and tripe-check.
Yeah, I withdrew from a school last night although a part of me just wanted to hold onto it forever hahah.
Other people are salivating over some of the seats we've been holding.
Yea, the way I look at it is, don't make a decision until you feel right about it. You may be holding multiple seats but hell, you worked for it and deserve it
