Hi everyone. I posted a similar post before, but I'm going to ask again because situation changed a little.

So my overall gpa right now is 3.6, and my last semester gpa was 3.93. If I end up getting 3.69 this semester, do you think it will look really bad on my application? In case you ask it depends on school, my dream schools are Columbia, Penn, and Tufts. Thank you.

Absolutely, 3.69 is very far apart from 3.9. I'd quit pre-dentistry all together go into something easier like packaging.

By the way... Im kidding

Please explain how you can possibly think that a 0.24 drop in your GPA is a bad thing? I would almost call you a troll but sadly, I think you are serious. Make sure that your DAT is above 21 and you have a shot at Columbia and Penn, you should be good for Tufts. Good luck

No, I'm actually very serious. People around me always advised me that upward trend in GPA is very important. So I actually did have upward trend, and my last semester that would count is going to have a downhill, so I was worried. What's "troll" by the way.

Your oGPA will be 3.6 something. It is really good though.
Upward trend in GPA has minor effect or is less important compared to your final oGPA/sGPA/BCP.
You'll be fine. :meanie:

You'll be fine. 3.6 is still quite competitive. Just nail the DAT.

predentalkorean! I agree with Alex about your situation But you can still try for tufts because as much as i know that tufts gonna take you in with this GPA, as it require's 3.46 GPA for science students. So it should be easy for you to get into tufts.

Dude u have a 3.6 GPA with a semester close to 4 you are more than OK. Just kill the DAT and you will be fine.
