So about a year ago i dropped a class 4th week that was "impacted" at ucla. this required a professor's signature because the policy here is that classes that are impacted cannot be dropped after 2nd week. just now i notice that this is noted on my transcript, and after emailing my counselor, I find out that this is a permanent thing. It just says "impacted/late drop" on there
is this a bad thing? is this a serious red flag when schools look at your transcript?
thanks to all who reply

well if it is....

i am sure during your interview you will be asked about and all you have to do is quickly explain the situation and im sure they will just drop it.

it should be fine. nothing to worry too much about.

if everything else is good this is not going to definitely hurt your chances of gaining interviews.

Hey R_C_
I was a counselor at UCLA. the late impacted drop is basically a note on your transcript because certain classes had historically large number of students drop (eg chem 153L, any composition course, chem lab, etc).
you will be asked about it during the interview. however, an impacted drop is different because you must have had some extenuating circumstances because they are hardly ever approved while normal drops are always approved.
i doubt that one will make a difference...
you can pm me if you need more info.

impacted drops are just drops of impacted classes after the 2nd week deadline no?

i seriously doubt it will matter at all, considering your purported stats.
