I'm in my last year at pharmacy school now. I had no intentions of doing a residency until the last few months. I've decided to definitely apply at least now. However, I haven't done any of the extracurricular things you normally associated with being required to get you in a residency. I have a 3.75-3.8 GPA with B+/A's in all my clinical classes. I'll have pretty darn good references i think thanks to some good rotation choices and alot of effort on my part. I also worked for CVS around 25-30 hours a week while in school. I've approached some professors about getting on some research projects, but I don't have any definite answers yet. I didn't join any organizations or hold any school related leadership activities. I'm looking for some recommendations for things I can do in the next month and a half to improve my CV. Or at least some reassurance that my application isn't that bad hah?

You sound like you are in decent shape as a residency candidate (academically, that is). Work hard on rotations in order to secure very good letters of recommendation.

The post is in the incorrect area though.

My GPA was like 2.9, it took me 5 years to graduate, the people at the school I graduated from hate me, and said people wouldn't write a recommendation letter for me if it was directly related to them getting AIDS or not.

What can I do to improve my chances?

Blackmail someone. That's what.

Hate is such a strong word. What about having difference in opinions?

PLEASE tell me you're serious. I would love to hear this story, if you're willing to tell/PM.
