At this point, NYCOM and PCOM seem to be very behind in their interview process. Meanwhile, the deposit deadline for many of us is quickly approaching. Does NYCOM and PCOM realise this? Many students may lose over a grand since there is the likelihood that they throw away their deposits to their second choice schools, only to be accepted in March by NYCOM or PCOM. I find this a little ridiculous.

These two schools are the only ones I have not heard anything from. My files have been complete for over 3 months now. I wish I could have been interviewed already so I wouldn't waste my deposit money else where incase I decide to attend one of the two.

Has anyone on West coast heard anything from NYCOM or PCOM? I'm really sick of waiting! 😡

They prob purposely decided to do this.

It would be a good way to weed out the people that are not serious about PCOM NYCOM. That way they have less interviews and only those who are serious about attending. That is prob the reason why PCOM invited PA residence so far.

yea but if you never hear from them, youre also not going to screw yourself over by not going to other interview invites/taking acceptances. I agree that theyre probably doing more harm than good...they do want the best candidates dont they?

Pay the deposit on one of the schools you were accepted to.

Each school has an individual admissions process, and they don't design it for your convenience, so you can pick and choose who you want to give money to.

If you don't pay any deposit and wait to see if you get in somewhere else, you may not, and then you will have wasted a year of your life.

Pay the deposits to any of the schools you think you want to go to. I know it is money down the drain if you withdraw your application, but it is a drop in the bucket and it will give you peace of mind knowing that you are set to go somewhere. Then research the housing, cost of living, etc and chose the one you want to go to after looking at all the aspects of the 4 years you are going to spend somewhere.

You may not hear anything from some schools ever. Some schools you will hear from them in June. So in other words don't sit around hoping to hear from another school and lose your place where you have an acceptance.

Good luck.

I hear your frustration, I really do. But just pay up and suck it up, cause there is nothing else you can do!

If it is their strategy to ensure that they accept only those who are really intent on going to their schools by making people either lose a thousand dollars, or pass up acceptances at other schools in the hopes of getting into their school, then its a bad policy that is costing their future students extra money and pain. It doesn't make sense either. Only fools apply to one or two schools. (sorry to offend anyone). If those schools were your first choice, you probably should have applied ED.
