**Late Night Thread**

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
What a great day for college football! #6 Wisconsin was shocked in the last play of the game, and #3 Oklahoma going down on a 39-game home winning streak to Texas Tech! Only poor show were my Broncos, who were supposed to blow past Air Force with a 30-point spread.

Yea I put 50 on my red raiders to cover 28 pt spread which they did. Pretty epic night in Vegas.

And fake... and arrogant (when they have nothing to back it up)... and self-centered... and whiny... and overly DRAMATIC. It's all that ridiculous bollywood nonsense that they try to take from a TV screen and transfer into everyday life. It's annoying as ****. 😡

I have a couple strange and funny stories of my past dating experience with an indian girl. She was extremely pretty but had the personality of a brick. This one time I was reading this article about stem cell research and she said scientists were a "bunch of boring people who spend their lives stuck in labs because they have no friends" (direct quote btw)... so I said GOODBYE! 😎

hey hey ..not all of us are like that !!! lol I happen to think indian guys treat their women like **** too at times ...but I have come across some decent guys however

I didn't mean all of ya'll, lol. A lot of the guys have anger management issues. And they drink a lot too, which is not a good combination. I guess this isn't solely among the brown community either. 😛

We need to switch topics here. So what's the opinion around here about global warming? Should we really be concerned about the melting of the ice caps? And is it really our fault? ...... ..... 🙄

You guys are going to kill me, but I've already started looking at COMLEX prep material (I'm so bored, what can I do?!).

I downloaded the First Aid OMM Review and the First Aid USMLE 2011 Step 1 Review online for free. It's the complete thing in .pdf form. Pretty cool! I'm not memorizing everything... it's just something nice to look at to see what I'm about to get myself in to starting next Fall.

This is purely out of interest and boredom... so don't burn me up with teh FLAMEZ! If you want me to send you the .pdfs I can. 🙂

Haha that sounds amazing! I already graduated, my job is a joke, and I am bored out of my mind. I'd love a copy.

Neurology is one of my top 2 specialities I want to do.

Who wants to do neurology?

Hey Iliketoytles, can you send me a copy please! Yea, I graduated as well, and I have a lot of free time, my job doesn't take up too much time haha. Btw, are any of you guys going to take an anatomy course before med school?

My job is not a joke, but I'm bored to! I need to read something other than Runner's world and Men's Health.

Yeah! I've actually been cooking a lot the last few months. It's done a somewhat decent job of filling the science void I've had since graduating... since there is a lot of science involved in cooking!

I've had a busy afternoon though so I just popped in some lean pockets in the microwave. I have chicken thawing in the fridge though for me to mess around with. 🙂

Very true. My parents are both excellent cooks, yet I'm very crappy at cooking myself. Cooking is definitely an essential skill that I need to learn.

Edit:

Also, for those accepted, how many of you are gonna become SDN donors now? Lifetime donor badge anyone?

If you can do a chem/bio lab, you can cook! Basically the same thing, except you eat what you make 🙂

Follow the instructions, don't f**k up, enjoy!

^^ Btw, the best steak is on a cast iron skillet. Although, charcoal grills give it a run for its money.

Whoever said "patience is a virtue" and "good things come to those who wait" wasn't anxiously awaiting a med school admissions decision... time to take out my aggression in Battlefield 3

where are you planning to apply?

Im still in the med school app process (hopefully dont have to reapply). After that, I will look into neuro residency programs. However, I am keeping an open mind still and obviously wont know what my heart desires until I get to rotations! ...taking it one step at a time
