I honestly kept forgetting you were LPB when you switched avatars. Is it strange that I associate you with that demonic, raging polar bear in your previous avatar?

How is it? I hear good things..

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like video games have become so lackluster. I recently got an XBOX 360, and I've purchased a bunch of games, and nothing does it for me. The only game I really enjoyed was Bioshock 2...Gears of War 1-3 is pretty meh, COD is of course entertaining, but doesn't really have that much charm....FFXXIII blows, as does Lost Odyssey and Nier.

Only game I've found interesting so far? A cheap $5 indie game called Limbo. That and Braid for the PC are the only two games that even remotely have me interested.

Time to go play FFVII for the millionth time, I suppose (not that I'm complaining. 😀)

I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm a huge final fantasy fan. Just spend your time at the Gold Saucer. 😉

Guess what though... Final Fantasy 15 is going to be an online piece of garbage as well. They need to stop with all this character selection nonsense and stick to the roots of what made the game what it is. FF7-10 is what they should be referencing! I don't like the path they're taking with the past few games. UGHHH 😡

Ha, I had that avatar for a good two years by now. Maybe it'll make a comeback one of these days.

Edit: I too am a huuuggee Final Fantasy fan! I'm actually playing FF8 right now. Best start I've had to any final fantasy game. By far my favorite is 7. I hope they come out with a remake some day.

BF3 is pretty good. The single player campaign is intense.

I've simply been getting the living hell scared out of me by FEAR 3. I love it thought. The game is so well done. 👍

There is a reason why, except for brief special events that require my avatar, I'm always that damn bull on a black background. It's just 'me' now. some of us are our avatars. Also: viva espana.

Haha ya that's so true. I always think Turk is talking when I read Dr. Maximus' posts. Same thing with DocBrill and his/her lisa simpson avatar.

Having a blast (literally) in Battlefield 3 right now with my buddy. I can't fly the damn airplanes with my mouse (PC Gamer for FPS awww yeaaa). Time to invest in a joystick? 🙂 Mainly just playing online.

I love action RPGs like Monster Hunter, and recently picked up Demon's Souls for PS3 used. Awesome awesome game. Gonna beat this and then pick up Dark Souls that just came out. Death has never been so much fun 😉

Just picked up a used joystick on amazon for Battlefield 3 flying 😀

Demon's Souls is the first game, and yes it's pretty hard. You will die, a lot.. and it's unforgiving lol. You can lose an hour of gameplay for a little mistake, a late block, a bad dodge-roll, and bosses will pretty much kill you in one hit. That said, it's pretty damn fun to play. Makes you think, learn, and evolve your strategy depending on what you've tried in the past. It's only like $20 on amazon right now and definitely worth it. I've put in 8 hours already and only have beaten three out of the 15+ stages. I'm too scared to go on without a little bit of leveling up haha. It's definitely not for everyone though.
 
I know its not "late night" yet but I can't sleep...too excited for DMU interview! man i wish there was an xbox360 or playstation3 with arkham city that game is kind of addicting and the riddler trophies/riddles are so damn complicated to get! but ill settle for some avatar on hbo hahaha...some days i wish i was a big blue cat lol

I know how you feel man. I was up till 3am before my DMU interview. Got 2 hours of sleep.

Then again... I always get 2 hours of sleep. 🙄
 
Should I buy a PS3? Seems like I'm missing out.

The fact that Dark Souls can be considered perfectly average when compared to the following:
  • Battlefield 3
  • MW3
  • Uncharted 3
  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Skyrim
  • Zelda Skyward Sword
shows that we may have entered a Golden Age of Gaming. Rejoice!

i was in a clan in Battlefield 2 and in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault..older games..but I miss the days where there were no worries except what my kill to death ratio was..

I remember when the first halo came out and I use to dominate on the map blood gulch with a sniper rifle. Oh how times have changed
 
I remember in 9th grade... I would come home every day after picking up Burger King, and play final fantasy 9 for 3-4 hours. This was literally every day.

I wish someone told me back then what my life would be like now. I would've enjoyed those times more. 🙄

me and a buddy played final fantasy 12 non-stop..he had over 300 hours saved...he owned his own business and would take a whole week off at a time to play the damn game

Ok, let's change the topic. I was wondering. There's this link near the top of the page that compels us to join an SDN meetup in our area. I wonder what people talk about during those meet ups. Seems kind of awkward turtle to me.

I'm in ny all the time (just about every weekend). My buddy lives up around 109th and broadway, so I usually crash there with him. where in brooklyn do you live? (If you don't mind sharing)

Speaking of New Jersey, I happen to be a fan of Jersey Shore. No shame.
 
1) I love How I Met Your Mother

2) New Jersey is nothing like Jersey Shore or Real Housewives (except in certain places...). I hate both of those shows with a strong passion, mainly because wherever I go in the U.S., once people know I'm from NJ, I have to put up with fist bumps and italian accents 🙄

3) New Jersey is actually gorgeous. Autumn here is beautiful...we are the "garden state" for a reason

Well used to live in midtown manhattan (58th and 9th) but now I;m in bay ridge brooklyn for the year.

Is anyone else watching this epic baseball game? I've never been a baseball fan, but this is AWESOME.

11th inning. Cardinals keep coming back. I'm not a cardinal fan but I appreciate good teams going at it.

Yea it was a heartbreaking game. Its hard to be a Texas Fan, especially with the Cowboys, but hopefully the Rangers can pull it out tomorrow.
 
i'm a die hard braves fan..so when the cardinals knocked the braves out of the playoffs I began to hate them..yes hate..so i haven't watched a lot of the playoffs as a result

Indeed. There's still the Texans though. They are actually doing okay, but that won't last long. And without basketball, the Spurs and Mavs are out of discussion. Rockets too... though, they are never really in the discussion to begin with.

Grenada, you can always cheer for the Rangers!! Game 7 tomorrow. :scared:
