It's supposed to snow tomorrow 🙁
It's supposed to snow tomorrow 🙁
It's supposed to snow tomorrow 🙁
I want snow. Scoop some over here!
I'm going to miss my 300+ days of sunshine a year here in Idaho. 🙁
I'm actually going to miss my 2 season life in Texas. Blazing hot summers, freezing cold winters (according to our standards... it's probably fall-like for people up north).
I've never had to deal with snow, so I'm in for a treat in Des Moines I suppose. I'm a good driver who can handle myself well... is there anything I should know though about taking care of my car in the snowy, icy whether?
Omg it's cold outside!! Thank you cold front!
One step at a tiiimmee... da da daaa duu da du daaa... du dee dumm duh dum du dummm
Do everyone a favor and get snow tires first and foremost 😉I'm actually going to miss my 2 season life in Texas. Blazing hot summers, freezing cold winters (according to our standards... it's probably fall-like for people up north).

be sure to have 2 shovels ..one to keep in your trunk and the other at your place, in case it snows too much to a point where you cant open your car trunk (speaking from experience )
I want to know what everyone does in their spare time besides school. I was an avid runner, ran 6 marathons in 3 years trying to qualify for boston, but I was 7 min shy. Now I turned to bodybuilding as my DO mentor is a Natural bodybuilder..
Ive also started baking multi layered cakes recently !
I WANT SOMEE! Nothing less than 10 layers, please. 😎
I play tennis and basketball... lots of volunteer work... lift weights regularly but recently started to add a lot of cardio to my regime since there's no point in having muscle mass if there's a layer of adipose over it all. 🙄
Btw, I wish Sheldon Cooper was my roommate for medschool. I love this show!
Sheldons my favorite character =) Although having him as a roommate might get me a little too aggravated
Sure- what flavors !! lol ...
Sheldons my favorite character =)
I thought the halloween episode was hilarious..and penny is very easy on the eyes..

Got 8" of snow 🙁 Still, we waited 1.5 hours for a train, spent another 1.5 hours getting to my friends place in NY, then went out to party hard for halloween 😀 I was arnold, my girlfriend was helga pataki haha
And regarding hobbies: I do a lot of music! I actually just got back from band practice, we have a gig next saturday. So excited!
I'm trying to get into running now, my goal is to finish at least a 10k, and hopefully a half marathon before next August. I've been on a strict running and workout regimen for the last few weeks, but I still have a ways to go! Hopefully I can reach it👍
Also, I'm very excited right now! Apparently tomorrow's an auspicious day for Indians (part of diwali holidays), so we're going to put down the deposit on my school and book my apartment at Century Towers. 😍

I am a professional musician.
I can play some advanced pieces of piano music. I have been involved in my university chamber choir.
I never sleep well maybe like 1-2 hours per 24 hour period. Now I just purchased TPR Hyperlearning complete set for the MCAT that Im taking in Jan! 😡

Ugh, I really don't want to study statistics.
Ughh... I didn't like biostats at all. My teacher was horrible...
Good luck man. 👍
And welcome emtthink! We have teh goodz in this thread
So what exactly is biostats? I've heard of the class but never really understood what it was.
Just started snowing earlier today in Idaho, and the big ski swap coincidentally just opened its doors for the weekend today. Any snow sports afficionados? I'm a snowboarder but grew up skiing.
Hate to change this wonderful subject, but I just received the Anatomy Coloring Book (thanks again, Dr. Willy!). I gotta admit, it looks pretty thorough. I want to skip some of the beginning pages since it's basic stuff and I'm not too sure how to color these figures... but my obsessiveness to do things in order is driving me crazy.
I'll color a page today and see how it goes. Back to kindergarten, yo. 👍

Are you using it for learning anatomy before you start medical school? If so, let me know how it goes...I'm curious as I kind of want to "pre-learn", but I just feel like I'm not going to retain anything.
Where'd you guys get these coloring books. I need to find something to keep me busy while I'm at work.Yeah I'm using it to review/learn. I did a couple easy pages so far. I'm only going to color in the words/muscles/bones/etc. that I don't already know. That'll save a lot of time and it'll help me focus solely on the things that I should work on. I think it's been quite effective so far.
I've done a couple pages on "body regions". Easy for the most part, but there are some words like buccal, coxxal, inguinal, cubital, popliteal... that I forgot about. So I only colored in these words and regions. It didn't take long before I learned them all! It's sealed away in my memory banks as if I've known them for a while now.
There is quite a bit of coloring if you're planning on doing every word, every body region, every muscle, etc... but if you have the time and want to do every word, you can... and it'll help you memorize and understand them all the same. But I kinda feel my strategy of only doing the words I'm not as familiar with is very effective.
Oh, and the paragraphs are great too. The descriptions are pretty detailed and thorough. Overall, great book. I'll keep ya'll updated once I get to the tougher anatomy sections.

Awesome thanks. I think I found what I want for christmas. I am reading through books to fast, and I need to find something else to do to kill time at work
