What are the late phase reactants in Type I HSN?

Pathoma states that it is MBP from eosinophils, yet Goljan audio says eosinophils are mostly protective in Type I HSN due to their histaminase and arylsulfatase

I'm thinking the late phase are really the leukotrienes? Cuz their not pre-formed?

A separate question - Pathoma also says that EBV induces a T-cell leukocytosis, is this right? I always thought it was B cell, hence the heterophile AB's and possible B-cell lymphoma.

Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks!

EBV infects B-cells via the CD21 receptor and lies dormant. Atypical lymphocytes, also called Downey cells, are T-cells that are reacting to the infected B-cells. So, yes, it is a T-cell leukocytosis.
