late to apply?

I didn't realize that I can submit the application even before getting the DAT scores and have not yet done so. I think people started sending application in June. Am I disadvantaged for being late in submitting the application or is it not too bad still?

Well if you're going for medschool/dschool I would suggest picking one. However, I realize it is a tough decision for some. Anyways, you should submit it now; it is definitely not too late.

Submit. Deadlines are in Dec thru Jan/Feb (depending on schools u choose). Its July, what kind of disadvantage could u possibly be in.

In the meantime do some deep soul searching. If ur applying to dental school as a rebound forget it and save the potential space for someone who REALLY wants to be a dentist 🙂

Thanks for the reply. It's good to hear. And yes, I REALLY want to be a dentist and really don't want to be a physician.

I hear many schools ask their interviewees, "Why not medicine?" I know very clearly why not.

Hey, I applied in mid-August of last year and I thought I was a little on the late side, but I still got interviews at several of the schools that I applied to. I'd say you're not too late, but to get your application out as soon as possible!
