Respondents enrolling in offshore medical schools had a mean total MCAT score of 24.2, similar to the mean score (24.3) of respondents who did not enroll in any medical school. The mean undergraduate GPA of those respondents who enrolled in DO-granting medical schools was 3.48, lower than the 3.58 mean GPA for those who enrolled in U.S. MD schools. Respondents enrolling in offshore medical schools had a lower mean GPA (3.22) than those not enrolling in any medical school (3.32).
