Hello, I recently received my mcat score and I made a 26 7PS10V9BS. I have a 3.82 overall g.p.a. and a 3.73 science g.p.a. I am half latino and I was wondering which schools I should be applying to? Also if y'all had any suggestions for oos schools that would maybe accept me?

Thanks

Are you planning on applying to MD or DO schools?

I will be applying to both md and do, but I would prefer an acceptance from a md school.

Luckily you live in TX; however, I would be quite adamant about applying with such low MCAT scores.

It is not surprise to you that you should first consider your state schools.

Tech
UTSA
UTSW
UTMB
UTH
Baylor
TCOM
A&M
...

I agree with above, you have a good chance with the Texas schools. Depending on which schools you apply to out of state you might get screened out. Have you considered retaking the mcat?

Thanks for your responses!

Yes I have considered re taking my mcat and I probably will in May.

I only plan to apply to out of state schools if I feel that I do not have a good chance in Texas.
I preferably would want to stay in state.

As far as out of state, do the URM friendly usuals which are Howard/Meharry/Morehouse. Then maybe try adding George Washington, Drexel, maybe Temple. Taking a look at the MSAR and finding OOS schools that are closest to your stats would be your best shot. I'm not familiar with DO schools, however, so I can really only speak about MD.
