OK, I'm about to rant, and lecture (of course smiling and in a nice helpful way). I realize that SDN is fun, encouraging, and even helpful, but what it is not is an excuse to be lazy. You do realize that what people say on this forum is not gospel truth and most often is opinion. Therefore, when a question such as, "does Timbuktu dental school require Physics" or does "Mormon Dental Institute of Education require a deposit", you should go to their website, and look up their requirements, or call MDIE and ask Adcom what their deposit is. Do people expect posters to go look it up for you? Honestly, are you willing to base you undergrad class schedule on what someone on SDN said to you? I would not, because it is a great way to get screwed! People don't mean to be wrong or post false information, but there is a lot of false information floating around in these threads because it is what they heard from their brothers cousin's dentist who graduated in 1981 from TDS. Therefore, don't get screwed, look up easy questions, and call you admissions office, and ask the important questions that have definite right or wrong answers to qualified people. Bottom line, SDN addiction is only detrimental when it makes you lazy...be a good SDNer. With love...😍 🙂

Sometimes even wrong opinions make you feel good. At least there is somebody to listen and willing to help you out.

This Timbuktu Dental School you speak of ... do you know if their interviews have filled up yet? What are their average DAT's?

😉 No they are not filled up yet, and they don't have any admissions requirements. All you have to do is contact them. Their recruiter representative is on SDN and goes by the handle armorshell. You should pm him and ask him about it, it is a good deal, i'm already signed up. Free too.😉

i have to agree with everyone. SDN is not a place for gathering accurate informations and datams. SDN should only be used for it's sole purpose and that is for SDNers to post conjectures and speculations on various topics. please keep all posts non-factual and full of highly opinionated and biased judgements.

I completely agree! It's driving me crazy. Many of the posts that keep popping up everyday can be avoided by simple research. People really need to be considerate of others!!! :meanie:

I think you guys must be kidding. I've actually cited posts from SDN at interviews. For example, at ASDOH I told my interviewer that "I don't know what dddsmack was talking about. This place isn't too bad ..." When the interviewer starting writing my enthusiasm down in his notes I knew I was in.
