anybody know anything about LCD repair/replacement?
i'm such a genius...i used blackboard cleaner to clean my screen and now the bottom edge of my screen has liquid collected behind the screen and it's killing me!

manufacturer wants 755 to replace it!

There isn't much you can do, whatever you used got under/ate away the protective layer on the monitor. You can try to replace the panel yourself, but it's not easy, cheap, or safe since the inverter boards they use are high voltage electronics. Your best bet is just to write it off at this point.

If you are really determined there are several third party companies on the web you can contact, but it would only cost you about $150 less than your current estimate.
