What are the current guidelines for LDL management?

uworld says if 0-1 no cardiovascular risks < 160 is accepted without need for lifestyle change, if 2+ risk then <130, and if CAD / Diabetes < 100. I have also seen <130, <100, <70 respectively from online sources. Anyone have an idea which is correct?

I have my Family Medicine Shelf soon and want to make sure I'm using the right guidelines when I answer the question.

Thanks!

The 160, 130, 100 numbers are the current "official" guidelines.

It's one of the cardiology "societies" I think (AHA? ACC?), I forget which one, that is recommending the lower numbers as targets.

For NBME tests use the "official" numbers.
