so while most people I met said I have really decent stats and I shouldn't worry about getting interviews (perhaps i applied late, mid sept is my mailing date). I have only heard back from 2 out of 10 schools with 1 invite and 1 rejection... should I be worried and just give up hearing back from those other 8? really lost now

edit: i actually am currently taking one last pre-req course. will this change things once i finish and send in my grade ? but its just one course so i doubt it -_-

I'm in the same boat as you are. When is/was your interview? Maybe we can cross our fingers for a Dec 1 acceptance. 🙂 Oh, if you don't mind sharing, what are your stats and what schools did you apply to?

what exactly are you going to do after you "give up"... are you planning to withdraw your application from the 8?

my point is, at this very time, it is WAYYY out of your hands. Worry about things you can control (like - just in case - needing to apply next cycle). Although, I don't believe you'll need that, I think u'll get in this cycle. I really have high hopes for you 🙂 You have very good numbers

well since i didnt hear back from the other 8, i can assume that even if i do hear back from them after december 1st for interviews, the chances of acceptance are real slim right? maybe waitlist? i mean im not giving up now, i can only go forward and do what i can. but its a little depressing... should've applied earlier but non of that matters now -_-

there are people who got into their programs way past december. i think somewhere here i saw one person gettin into ucsf after their january interview.

for most schoos, as far as i know, they said they wont fill their class by december 1st. seems like may be they will fill half or so. may be do something special and notify schools to buff ur ECs up a bit? get involved in research? go on a dental outreach trips or somehing?

there are some schools like tufts and bu that interview well into the spring

on predents like 2/3 of them were post-dec for 08/09 entering class
