General Admissions & OTCAS Learning (instead of memorizing) medical terminology

I took medical terminology a while ago and did great in it. Now I'm taking a class that has a medical terminology component and I'm struggling. I've realized that I didn't actually learn much in medical terminology, I just used flash cards to memorize everything and then immediately lost it once the class was over.

Terminology is obviously something I'm going to need to know from here on out, so does anyone have any tips for learning medical terminology rather than just memorizing it?

I don't really see a way around the memorization component unless you'd prefer to learn Greek instead.
