Hey all, wasn't sure if I should post this in allo or pre-allo so I apologize beforehand...

I'll be starting med school in the fall, and am interested in doing some research while a student. I've heard that knowing statistics can make you very attractive to work with as a student.

Does anyone have advice on what topics in statistics are most useful to learn for use in medical research? Any good recommendations of textbooks to reference? (I have a strong mathematics background)

Thank you for your advice and time!

Hypothesis testing.

Multivariate analysis/logistic regression.

Take a course in probability theory. The statistics that non-math majors generally take are so watered down that you don't actually gain any insight into statistics.
