So a whole bunch of us met up beforehand and it was lots of fun. Post your screennames here for ease of communication!

I'll start: I'm ------ (shocking, I know)

The interview was quite relaxed. It is a group, closed application interview. The dean is quite nice and all the staff is excited for the program. Something I didn't know about the PBL coursework is during the first year both dental and medical students work in tandem together. The group interviews are done in four groups of six. They ask 4-5 questions for the whole group to answer (make sure you understand what PBL really is and whether or not it fits you). Otherwise, the questions are rather standard.

How was the interview?

I'm ----- (I wore the tie at Truman's, in case you're like myself and have terrible difficulty remembering names)

If you're dropping real names on here, be sure to behave. With a first name and the school & interview date in thread title, you're kind of putting yourself out there.

Quoted for truth! Though, one should always behave, especially on a public forum. The internet can be a dark and scary place.

If you dont mind me asking, What questions did they ask durin the group interview?

We are putting ourselves out there, but so is putting our stats when we get invites... AdComs aren't exactly the dumbest people on earth. They should be able to put two and two together if they really want to. Not many people have the EXACT same stats and are sent interviews on the same day. Besides, you're only risking something if you aren't properly behaving like a professional on here. In fact, this site even allows you to link social networks to your profile. Transparency only hurts the dishonest.

Carry on, friends.

Transparency online is just stupid.
You think everyone puts their stats up? And no one uses privacy controls on Facebook, right? If they really want to dig, sure they could piece it together eventually (for some of you). Dishonest or not. Applying to school or not. Why reveal identity at all? You're not exactly displaying a great sense of judgment by doing do. Have you ever read the terms of service on SDN? Here's rule number one:

"Protect anonymity. Remember, the SDN Forums are followed by students, doctors, schools and professional organizations. Please keep your identity protected – don’t post or use your real name on the forums. Additionally, members are not permitted to solicit personally identifiable information from other members or disclose another member’s identity without their written permission."........

There, I have removed my name. Not necessarily because I'm afraid, but because it is against the agreement to have mine listed. Since you have my real name listed, would you please remove that. I find it a bit hypocritical that you fragrantly used other individuals names in your example while also giving other (potentially nefarious) applicants ideas to deliberately throw our chances. Thank you for your input though.

I also have removed my name since it is against the TOS. I did not know that; thanks for the information.

If there were a TOS of life, it would tell you not to call someone hypocritical and then as for a favor.

Don't worry, I read your comment before your edit.

In the interest of not cluttering up this thread, I sent the rest to you in a PM.

Edit: I do appreciate you changing your post. Thank you.
