LECOM interview

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
😱 Maybe I'll try calling them to see if they do something about mine 🙂 I'm a broke student.

EDIT: yay!! I just gave them a call and they were kind enough to give me that $59 rate 🙂 😀 So happy.

Where is your interview? Starbucks? They haven't build the building yet, whats the tour going to be about.

You know what? That's a really good question... lol I don't know. I'm going to call them today and see where we're supposed to meet...

You meet at the medical school. There really is no need for a tour because Dr. Hirsch does a fantastic job conveying his vision for the school using blue prints of the building that will be constructed in the next couple months. The 3rd year clinic is not going to be completed by the time class starts at the end of July. The 1st year clinic(Yes thats right, you treat a patient your FIRST year with another student) and the sim clinic plus all the PBL class rooms will be ready by the time class starts. Hope that clears some things up!

Hope your interview went well.

Care to give us any tips? Any unusual questions other than the normally asked questions? How was the overall experience, and what kind of interview format did they use?

Thanks.

I'm not going to go as far as to give you questions that were asked but I thought the over all experience was great. The day was pretty stress-less, it was very informative and they did a great job of selling the school(to me anyway). It is a group interview format(a little bit of thought would have led you to that fact..PBL) I think the school seems very nice, the Med students seemed to love it there. Good luck at your interviews everyone!

so you think its a good format for a dental school t follow?

Bump.

Any more info about recent interviews? 🙂

Group interview with all the basic questions, nothing out of the ordinary. It's a relaxed discussion and everyone was very nice. Be yourself and don't stress too much about it. There were six people per group and it lasted about an hour. If there is something you feel uncomfortable saying in front of everyone, they allow you to tell them at the end. Peace! =)

Interview was very well organized and relaxed. 🙂 Just be yourself and answer honestly. It was more like a conversation amongst everyone and it was enjoyable in my opinion 🙂 Just be honest. Everyone is nice and friendly, and I came out of the interview day with a great impression. It's going to be an excellent school, no doubt 🙂 I would definitely attend that school.

Just a heads up everyone, a lot of schools have administrators check SDN for comments/rumors going around about it. I know they will probably never find out who you are, but it's really not the best idea to be asking for specific questions/interview minutiae.

I know at my last interview, one of the associate deans came out and politely requested no one "interview and tell".

I guess each interviewer joined each group (approxi 6 studnets), and each student take turns to answer questions, right? 1 hour should be around 6-8 questions in total (per student)??

seems like you guys had fantastic time.
wish u the best luck & hope to see some of you at the interview or maybe in fall! 😉

Was there any writing assignment during your interview?
