Does anyone know if LECOM has a cutt-off MCAT score? On their site it says "successful candidates typically have an average MCAT of 23."

I have tried calling but I keep getting the person's voice mail.

Why what did you get? I've heard stories of people being accepted as low as 19.

22N
PS 7, VR 7, BS 8

They interviewed me with that exact score. However, I did retake the MCAT and scored a 27, which they knew about. So I'm not sure if they would have accepted me soley on the 22.

humm, well I'm hoping my 21P (PS:8 BS:8 VR:5) at least gets me an interview

I was hoping my GPA could compensate somewhat for my low score

overall: 3.78
science: 3.74
non-science: 3.81

but I dunno................

Did you check that you were retaking when you initially sent your app, or did you take it then updated your scores?

Do they have a cut-off score?

Just thought I'd let everyone who is interested know that I emailed admissions and they responded to me rapidly.

The cut-off MCAT score is 21. I made that cut-off by one point!

She told me with my score and gpa that I more than meet their minimum requirements, so Im still hopeful.

21 or above is the way I took it.

I was looking on the LECOM website, and the download is available for the secondary application. I printed it out and it basically asks the same freak'n thing as the AACOMAS primary application! No joke.

Is anyone else finding the secondary applications redundant from other schools? (Sorry, I know this is off my original topic!)

I believe so--that they wait for your second scores. Im checking that Im not retaking it....if I get no interviews then I will update my scores (if they are improved).

So if you have less than a 21 and are planning to retake the MCAT in august do they just throw out your application without waiting for your august score?

Sorry, I misread your question. I think they just hold it until you new scores come.

I applied super late (i.e. turned in secondary a week before due) with at low MCAT...got an interview and was waitlisted....and gave up my spot on the waitlist...so you've definately got a chance! good luck.

RE: Ravenfeather

The seondaries are very redundant. You will learn to type out or at least copy your responses from one school, because for the next school you will be able to use nearly the same response. I think I typed out answers to about 5 things and was pretty much able to copy and paste for all of my secondaries.

...FYI: from my experience, the schools asked many more interview questions off of my secondary than they did the primary AACOM application. Make sure you dot your I's and cross your T's. 🙂
