LECOM (PBL) vs. NYCOM (DPC) - which school?(questions for students there)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
How often and how long are lecom pbl students in class compared to the traditional lecture pathway. Also, I hear PBL students have like 3 test a semester, what happens if they fail one?

Way to ressurrect a year old post 🙂.

You'll have more luck finding LECOM students on the LECOM-Erie school specific thread. I believe LDP people are in lecture/classes everyday pretty much from 8am-5pm. That includes labs though, but basically you are technically required to be in class from 8-5, but there is a lunch break and some students mentioned that there are some classes that you can miss, but you figure that out there. PBL is basically not at class, except for the occasional lectures, 6 hrs of PBL a week (3 sessions) and OPP lab on Wednesday.

I'm not sure about the exam issue, but be aware that all pathways do anatomy in lecture together for the first 12 weeks, so they all are in a similar schedule to LDP for that time.
